Kniphofia (Red Hot Poker) ‘Tawny King’ 2 litre tall
Commonly known as Red hot Pokers, these are a smaller orange one.
They are loved by insects and birds alike.
They have been grown throughout the UK for a very long time, but it has only just been realised that they naturally grow on the edges and banks of water. In a moist situation they will assume new vibrancy and repeat flower with vigour and gusto.
This is the ‘Tawny King’ is is a free-flowering perennial, to 1.2m tall, with narrow leaves and dense spikes of dull orange buds opening to cream/beige flowers from mid summer to early autumn.
