Hemerocallis – Day Lily – Mixed Colours –
Hemerocallis: Day Lilly
We have a bit of a mixture of these wonderfully easy plants. They are a structural plant with sword like leaves, flowering during the summer months with each bloom lasting for just one day! but there are so many flowers that they actually bloom for quite some time. We can name a few of our varieties, but think they may have somewhat “evolved” all on their own into quite an array of different colours and sizes. We stock Whoopi; Large 5 inch purple flowers with a black eye and a yellow/green throat. Fulva; which is the huge common type with bright orange flowers. “Pardon me”; I just love the name! flowering a rich deep red with a pale yellow throat. Catherine Woodberry is the palest pink.
