CISTUS HYBRIDUS – (Rock Rose) – 5 Litre pot

I just Love our trio of Rock Roses here at Enchanted Gardens.  We know that some gardens are heat soaked during the long hot summer and that lots of gardeners have gravel gardens, and so with a little drainage these beauties thrive easily.

Originating from dry, rocky parts of the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, their drought-tolerance and very low maintenance is perfect for long lasting colour. They produce masses of flowers in midsummer, but each lasts only one day. They are very generous with their blooms and are particularly free flowering, forming a mound of pollinator heaven. Flowers are so very delicate looking as though they are made from tissue paper, produced during June and July. Try it at the front of a sunny, well-drained border or in large patio container.

Once flowering is over, lightly shear back all over to keep the plant in a tight bush. It appreciates a nice drink of tomato or seaweed feed after flowering.

Very Hardy, she likes free draining soil and full sun.
