SALVIA VERTICELLA – CLARY SAGE – 5 litre pot

Clary Sage is just one of those salvias that just keep giving; flowering through June, July AND August, it’s one of the hardest working of the salvia seeming to need no rest in its quest to look fantastic and feed all pollinators. At just under 90cm this is a statement plant for any garden

Large branching spikes of purple flowers that whorl up the stems grow from a scrummy mound of large, soft, dark green furry sage like leaves. It will form a large clump and will grow quite happily in a wide range of soils and situations, but if you want the best show it prefers a sunny spot rather than shade and as with all Sage it won’t like being soggy and wet through the wintertime.
