We simply had to stock some ceanothus, the bees adore it, we have an lovely mature Ceanothus in the Wishing well Garden and when the sun comes out and the bees feed the whole thing moves very noisily with all the buzzing….

Puget Blue’ is a medium-sized evergreen shrub of upright habit, with small, dark green, narrow leaves. Tight clusters of flowers deep rich blue in conical or oblong panicles, in late spring and early summer.

Prune these immediately after flowering, using secateurs to cut back long, flowered shoots by one-third to a half. If needed, you can lightly trim these plants again in late summer.
