About the Workshop

How to Talk to Trees is a guided journey into tree communication, co-curated by Hélène Williams and Donna Truwhyte. Together they weave ancestral story, spiritual practice, and direct experience to help you open a respectful dialogue with the living world.

Held in the nourishing environment of the Enchanted Garden — a place of restoration, biodiversity, and quiet beauty — this intimate day offers space to move with the land, experience the therapeutic presence of trees, and learn practices you can continue at home or in your own garden.

With Donna

Take a  walking journey through the Enchanted Garden, meeting trees and plants she has tended as companions and teachers — living presences carrying story, memory, and ancestral depth. For Donna, gardening and conservation are not about control but about entering into dialogue with Mother Nature. Learn how she listens for the spirit of the land, perceives ancestral presences, and honours plants and trees as beings with wisdom and voice. Her work reveals how tending the land can also tend the spirit, opening participants to a deeper sense of ecological balance, belonging, and care.

With Hélène

Practice and guidance in tree communication — grounding, breathwork, and imaginal exercises. She teaches that consciousness is present in all organisms, and through practice we can journey into relationship with that awareness. Communication may come as images, sensations, or subtle knowing’s — from the plant itself, a nature or ancestral presence. Prolific in her communion with the plant kingdom, Hélène also paints visions gifted by the natural world, and helps participants trust their own unique ways of perceiving and connecting.
