ENCHANTED AUTHORS IN RESIDENCE:
Through interactive storytelling, our Resident Authors will guide children on a journey of self-discovery, change, and transformation. By weaving their work and experiences into engaging, hands-on narratives, children will gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. This storytelling experience will be part of a full day of activities, where children actively participate, explore, and learn through play, nature, and creative expression. It's not just about listening, it’s about becoming part of the story.

The project is centred around creativity, transformation, and connection, with the butterfly as our guiding theme. Teachers, TAs, and SEND specialists are invited to take part in shaping how we might nurture imagination, emotional growth and environmental connection in young people.

Featuring: Nina De LaMare
Author of “Darians Gifts”
Nina is a reflexologist, reiki master, fire keeper, former SENCO, and passionate children’s author whose work helps children build emotional resilience and self-belief. Her journey is shaped by her experience as a teacher and as someone who discovered her own dyslexia—leading her to champion inclusive learning and accessible emotional education.
Her story Darion’s Gifts is being developed into an audiobook and audio drama, with translations underway to reach children worldwide. Through her storytelling, Nina brings messages of authenticity, empathy, and courage into classrooms, home education spaces, and community sessions.
As a teacher and children’s author, I’ve witnessed how emotional struggles can quietly dim a child’s spark. That’s why I created Darion’s Gifts—a magical, soul-stirring story that helps primary school children understand their emotions, build resilience, and celebrate what makes them wonderfully unique.
Darion’s Gifts isn’t just a story—it’s a powerful tool to spark meaningful conversations in classrooms and homes, nurturing emotional strength, empathy, and self-belief in children everywhere.
