Trachelospermum asiaticum (Star Jasmine) Golden Memories – 5 litre on frame
Trachelospermum jasminoides is a beautifully scented, evergreen climber. Perfect for growing up a warm wall, or a fence. we grow in 10 litre pots climbing on a trellis fan. We have asiaticum “Golden Memories” with unusual golden coloured leaves and also Trachelospermum Varigatum which has a white outline to the leaf. From mid- to late summer both produce pure white & Cream very pretty flowers with the classic Jasmine strong frangrance. They can be grown against a wall in milder climates or in a greenhouse or conservatory in areas prone to severe frosts. Grow them in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade with protection from cold, drying winds. If growing indoors, plant in loam-based potting compost in full light but not direct sun. Water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly during the growing season, and water sparingly in winter. We have all our Trachelospermum stock outside year round and although occasionally they may drop a few leaves, they seem completely fine with our winter temperatures here in Kent.
