Swede Helenor: Large globe-shaped, deeply colored roots of excellent quality with outstanding texture and taste. Very winter hardy with resistence to mildew.
Swede Best of all: Medium sized, globe shaped roots with purple skins and mild yellow flesh. Very Hardy and reliable, a traditional variety with good storing qualities.
We are growing 2 varieties as above; Swedes are best sown May to July in a prepared seed bed.
Germination takes up to 21 days.
Thin out when large enough, keep moist and weed free.
Swede needs room to develop – avoid overcrowing and plant in prepared soil spaced out as soon as possible after purchasing our seedlings,
