Hibiscus Syriacus 5 litres

Hibiscus syriacus is a species of flowering plant in the mallow family.  It is native to south-central and southeast China but widely introduced elsewhere, including much of Asia. It was given the epithet syriacus because it had been collected from gardens in Syria. Common names include The Rose of Sharon or Rose Mallow. It is the national flower of South Korea.

Hibiscus is a hardy deciduous shrub. It is upright and vase-shaped, reaching 2–4 m (7–13 feet) in height, bearing large trumpet-shaped flowers with prominent yellow-tipped white stamens, so great for pollinating insects. The flowers of our stock are pure white and come from seedlings from a Whitstable Garden where they have been growing for many years.  We are only too happy to pass on this gorgeous shrub.
