Cucumber Diamant F1

Another F1, but a dark green pickling type for outdoor production, compact & short, producing prolific crops of straight smooth fruits.

Highly resistant to downy mildew and cucumber mosaic virus.

Sowing.

Sow indoors, April, placing each seed on its side, 1.5cm deep, at 20-24 centigrade.

harden off late May/early June, space at 25cm apart.

Outdoors, may-June, two seeds per position, 25 cm apart, thin once bug enough, protect in cloches from cold weather.

Homemade pickles are delicious and really easy to make. We just slice ours into big kilner jars, add dill, or pickling spice or both, salt and vinegar, it works best if you do it in layers and keep it in the fridge.
