Brunnera (Siberian Bugloss)
or Siberian bugloss are spreading herbaceous perennials with large heart-shaped basal leaves broadly margined with yellowish-cream, sprays of small bright blue flowers in spring. We grow from division and our plants have a beautiful variegated leaf. Place at front of the border, in semi-shade or shade. If left they produce a ground covering clump. They have proved tricky in pots, we have worked out that they do not like wet bottoms and prefer semi-shade.
