We have always grown veg from seed here at EG for our May Shows as they always sell well.
This year when we realised people would be working form home more, we sowed a lot more than usual and we kept on sowing as we kept on selling out.
We feel its very important to grow some of your won food, it connects us to nature, to the life cycle of plants and adds a layer of responsibility into how we eat.
We grow as many heritage and organic crops as we can and we shy away from F1 hybrids, as they are infertile, prolonging our dependency on seed suppliers. (Let’s not get started on Monsanto!)
